Attention 2026 Homestead applicants: The timely filing deadline for 2026 Homestead, Senior and all other exemptions is March 2, 2026 with an extended late filing deadline of September 18, 2026. Property owners who acquire their property and make it their primary residence on or before January 1, 2026 may file for 2026 exemptions until September 18, 2026. Property owners who acquire their property or make it their primary residence after January 1, 2026 may also pre-file now for Homestead and many other 2027 exemptions.

SPRING HOLIDAY

Our office will be closed on Friday, April 3, in observance of the spring holidays. Our office will reopen on Monday, April 6.

THE PROPERTY APPRAISER DOES NOT HANDLE THE BILLING OR COLLECTING OF TAXES.
THE PROPERTY APPRAISER DOES NOT SET THE PROPERTY TAX RATES.

The BROWARD COUNTY TAX COLLECTOR (note: NOT part of our office) mails the annual property tax bills during the first week of November. Payment information is include with the tax bill and can also be found on their website.

Broward County's Records, Taxes and Treasury Division is responsible for the billing and collecting of property taxes and has posted this information on their website at https://www.broward.org/RecordsTaxesTreasury/Pages/Default.aspx. Should you have any questions regarding the payment of property taxes, their office can be reached at (954) 357-4829 or by email to revenue@browardtax.org

The Property Appraiser does NOT set your tax rates. Our office is responsible for ensuring the fair assessment (value) of all properties and applying all exemptions. Your County Commission, School Board, City Commission, Hospital District, and other boards set your tax rates each year.

CATASTROPHIC STRUCTURAL DAMAGE REPORT FORM

If your property has been rendered uninhabitable for at least 30 days due to damage or destruction from a catastrophic event, click here to let us know.
